The Board
The Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland comprises seven
members. Five are nominated by the Queensland Minister for Public Works
and Information and Communication Technology, one is a
representative of Engineers Australia, and one is elected by RPEQs.
The Chair is :-

representative of a school of engineering

Mr Don Muir, BE(Civil), FIE (Aust), RPEQ, a representative of
Engineers Australia

Mr Peter Way, PSM BTech (Civil Eng), GDURP, MBA, MAPI, FIPWEA,
FIEAust, CPEng, RPEQ, a representative of registered professional
engineers

Ms Christine Stevenson, BE(Civil), RPEQ, a representative of
regional professional engineers

Mr Charles Ware, BA, LLB(Hons), MBus(Pub Mgt), FAICD,
MLGMA, a legal practitioner

Ms Carolyn Mason, BEcon, BA(Hons), FAICD, FAIM, FIPAA

Mr G McLean, BApSc(Building), FAIB, a representative of the
construction industry
The Board is empowered to:-
-
protect the public by ensuring professional engineering services
are provided by a registered professional engineer in a professional and
competent way; and
-
maintain public confidence in the standard of services provided by
registered professional engineers; and
-
uphold the standards of practice of registered professional
engineers.
